Compliance Officer (Digital Assets)
Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Digital Assets Compliance Officer to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate has strong experience in regulatory analysis and compliance advisory, with a strong interest in digital asset markets. What you will do
- Analyze existing and upcoming digital assets related regulations (APAC jurisdictions), assess their impact on our business, and translate them into clear and pragmatic business requirements
- Act as the primary Compliance contact for our digital assets trading teams, advising on digital assets-specific compliance matters
- Support and contribute to new digital assets market expansions, and business development initiatives
- Keeping abreast of digital assets regulatory developments in APAC
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and coordinate internal and external audits related to digital assets activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls for digital asset trading
- Actively foster a strong compliance culture within a fast-growing and innovative digital assets environment
What you need to succeed
- A university degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory advisory, or risk within financial markets, with a keen interest in digital assets
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to business/ trading, working closely with other business support / control functions
- Extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework in APAC and the ability to adapt them to the evolving regulatory developments in digital assets
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading strategies and proprietary trading. Knowledge of digital assets and its ecosystem is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in risk-based compliance frameworks
- Motivated and inquisitive individual, willing to learn and grow in the role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in regulatory engagement and negotiations
