System Engineer

To apply as a Systems engineer with Flow Traders, you’ll ideally meet the following profile:
- Strong academic background (preferably at least HBO or HTS)
- Experience with CCNP/CCIE, Cisco, Linux, Unix, networking, Routers
- Demonstrable interest in financial markets
- Fluent in English, with Dutch as a strong advantage
- Driver’s license (Rijbewijs B)
Your Characteristics
- Equally self-sufficient as able to work well in a team
- Prepared to travel as needed within Europe
- Outgoing, communicative
- Service-minded, able to help with whatever’s needed
- Able to deal well with pressure
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building a low latency, high performance infrastructure
- Working with state-of-the-art systems and hardware
- Having an open eye for technical improvements
- Safeguarding a high availability and redundancy
Description
In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the existing network. You’ll strategize and plan for expansions, including frequent contact with external parties (exchanges, data centers) over connectivity. You’re a real troubleshooter and excel at spotting issues and monitoring problems. You’re willing to share your knowledge with colleagues to raise the team’s collective expertise.
General
Our terms of employment are like our culture: simple and straightforward - you’ll receive a good monthly salary, plus an annual performance-based bonus. We reserve 40% of our business results after costs for our bonus pool. The difference you make for Flow will be rewarded by a share in our profits.
